Small states development indicators database
Welcome to the Commonwealth Secretariat database of small states development indicators.
This database, which contains statistics from 1985 to 2006, includes a wide range of economic, social and environmental indicators, as well as basic data on country size and characteristics of the major sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing and services in small states.
In addition to small states, the database includes data on countries that had populations below 5 million at the end of 2006.
The database, which includes both Commonwealth and non-Commonwealth countries, aims to form a useful supplement to those available from other sources on larger countries. It is intended as an essential reference for economists and policymakers in small states and for their development partners. It also provides a useful resource for analysts from research and academic institutions.
